HOW TO SET UP AND INSTALL HUGHESNET ROUTER?

HughesNet has been running under several different names. It is one of the handful of wideband services in the United States that uses satellites to deliver its service. Because satellite systems are what they are, HughesNet does have the leading service footprint of all US internet providers, even though it has one of the smallest community members.

HOW TO LOG IN TO THE HUGHESNET ROUTER ADMIN PAGE?

The following are the steps to logging into your router:

  • Connect to the HughesNet Router
  • Find the IP Address of your HughesNet router in Windows
  • Log in HughesNet Router with a web browser.

CONNECT TO THE ROUTER

You had the option of connecting to the HughesNet router either wirelessly or utilizing an Ethernet cable. You are already connected to your router if you are currently connected to the internet at your home because it requires that connection.

DISCOVER THE DEFAULT IP ADDRESS FOR YOUR ROUTER.

Although it is the most technical step in the entire procedure, it is not difficult. The astonishing thing is that your router may already have what you need printed. For instance, HughesNet routers come with a specific web address on the bottom: Hughesnet.com. You only need to type that in a web browser to get started.

You’ll be required to get your hands dirty if the router’s IP address or URL isn’t printed there. Searching for “HughesNet router model,” and “default IP” in a search engine is the simplest method. If you are unsuccessful, you can find the address by using the operating system of your device, as we will explain below.

FIND THE IP ADDRESS OF YOUR ROUTER IN WINDOWS

First, right-click the power button, then navigate to the Power User section of the frame of reference menu that appears and choose Windows PowerShell from that.

The next thing you’ll notice is that a Windows PowerShell window appears on your screen. After typing “ipconfig,” make sure to hit the Enter key.

Record the number displayed next to “Default Gateway” in your notebook. To access the router’s configuration settings, you need to have that private IP address. After you have the IP address you can setup HughesNet router.

FIND THE IP ADDRESS OF YOUR HughesNet ROUTER IN MacOS

  • Select the system preferences from the menu that appears when you tap the Apple logo in the upper left corner to access the system preferences. If you would rather, you can access the System Preferences by selecting the icon in the Dock (if available).
  • Choose “Network.”
  • Choose WI-FI or Ethernet from the list on the left.
  • Click the Button that says “Advanced.”
  • Click on the tab called IP.
  • Write down the number next to the word “Router.” You need that private IP address to get into the router’s settings.

FIND THE IP ADDRESS OF YOUR ROUTER ON ANDROID

  • Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Notification Shade, then tap the Cog icon.
  • Click Network & Internet in the Settings menu. Tap Connections instead if you have a Samsung phone.
  • Click WI-FI.
  • Tap the gear icon next to the name of your network.
  • If you have a Samsung phone, skip to Step 6.
  • Press the “Advanced” Button & write the number under “Gateway.” You need that private IP address to get into the HughesNet router’s settings.
  • Click Manage HughesNet Router and choose a web browser from the list.
  • Make a note of the number in the address bar. You need that private IP address to get into the router’s settings.

FIND THE IP ADDRESS OF YOUR ROUTER ON iOS AND iPad OS

  • Tap the Settings app to open it.
  • Click WI-FI.
  • Tap your network.
  • Write down the number next to the word “Router.” You need that private IP address to get into the router’s settings.

USE A WEB BROWSER TO LOG IN.

Now that you are familiar with the HughesNet router’s IP address, launch any web browser and enter it into the address bar by hand or by copying and pasting it. After that, the screen asking you to log into your router will load in the browser window.

When using the HughesNet router for the first time, you will require login information to access it. You can locate this information by searching the internet, reading the manual that came with your router or looking at a label attached to it.

To begin, give this a shot to see if it helps you gain entry:

  • User name: admin
  • Password: password

If you didn’t recall your login information, you should give this user id a shot because it is the default user id for many routers. Remember to change it once you’ve changed it into something more challenging to guess.

HOW TO RESET THE HUGHESNET ROUTER?

  • Find the Button on the unit’s front.
  • Find the Button under the barcode on the unit’s backside.
  • Hold the WPS button on the modem and use a paper clip or something comparable to press and release this same reset button.
